In 1948, three spelunkers of the region tempt to recover the origin and the course of these waters. Their research will succeed to the discovery August 8 of this same year of the underground river and the underground cave of Medous. After one year of exploration and two years of amenities, the underground cave were open to the public in the spring 1951. |

Medous has the smallest chapel implanted on his site, dedicated to Our Lady of Medous. In the month of October 2000 on the initiative of Eminence Perrier, bishop of Tarbes-Lourdes, had place the pilgrimage in the setting of the demonstrations of the year of the Jubilee. |
